Closing Concert Marni Jazz Festival #Guitar

The American guest of honour who will close the festival is extraordinarily talented. This prodigy trained at Berklee College of Music and for the past 25 years has worked together with Paul Motian, Brad Mehldau, Joshua Redman, Mark Turner, Jeff Ballard, etc.
He was particularly influenced by Pat Metheny and John Scofield and favours a ‘new’ world and unique phrasing. Eric Clapton described him as a genius and qualified his music as the future of jazz - just like bebop once was. The same press states that Kurt Rosenwinkel expresses more in a few lines of music than some guitarists do over the course of their entire career (Chicago Tribune)....
